Welcome to Shawnee County 4-H!

Welcome to the Shawnee County 4-H webpage for new families! 4-H members and leaders live all acrossed Kansas, in all 50 states and in 82 counties world-wide! Youth must be 7-18 years of ages as of Januray 1st of the current year in order to join as a regular 4-H member. For youth ages 5 and 6; we have an introductory program called Cloverbuds avaible. 

 4-H focused on youth having fun and leaning with freinds. The basic philosophy of 4-H is to stenthen the mental, physical, moral and social development for youth from all walks of life, thereby, helping develop effective citizens and leaders. This is done though participation in projects, county and state-wide events and other various activites. 

Joining 4-H is easy as 1-2-3!

  1. Find a Community Club or two near you and contact the leader so they know you would like to visit a meeting.
  2. Check out our Project Resourse page to pick out some favorite projects.
  3. Create an 4-HOnline account with 4-H enrollment information (see 4-H enrollment page for details) and sumbit payment to the State 4-H Office. Enrollment opens October 1st and closes May 1st.
