Programming Requests

If you're interested in having a Shawnee County Extension Master Gardener give an educational presentation for your group, class, or club, please download the application below.

Completed applications should be sent to Ariel Whitely-Noll (arielw@ksu.edu) or mailed in to our office (1740 SW Western Ave, Topeka KS) at least 8 weeks prior to your desired presentation date. This timeline is critical for our volunteers and staff! We need time to publish your request in our newsletter, announce it at our monthly meeting, and customize a presentation for your group.

Presentation topics vary according to volunteer availability.

Potential topics include:

  • pollinator gardens
  • container gardening
  • invasive plant control
  • drought tolerant plants
  • native plants
  • unusual fruit
  • right plant, right place
  • gardening for wildlife
  • garden site selection
  • planning a garden
  • starting seeds
  • shade gardening
  • herbs
