Kansas 4-H Scholarship Recipients – Please complete the Review to confirm you have met your requirements for your scholarship and to receive your second phase of payment. Please email verification of Spring enrollment to Kansas4H@ksu.edu.  

  • Verification that you are enrolled in 12+ credit hours, acceptable forms include: a screenshot or actual copy of your institution's enrollment management system that contains your enrollment or class schedule, and your name and name of the institution you are enrolled.

Vanier Family Scholarship Recipients – Please complete the Review to confirm you have met your requirements for your scholarship and to receive your second phase of payment. Please email verification of Spring enrollment to Kansas4H@ksu.edu.

  • Verification that you are enrolled in 12+ credit hours, acceptable forms include: a screenshot or actual copy of your institution's enrollment management system that contains your enrollment or class schedule, and your name and name of the institution you are enrolled.
  • Copy of your current transcript OR verification of your Fall Semesters GPA. Must include Your Name, Your Institutions Name, and GPA
All scholarship applications below with supporting documentation & reference letters must be submitted no later than March 1, 2022.
2021 Kansas 4-H Scholarship Application

The Kansas 4-H Foundation partners with Kansas 4-H to offer over 50 different scholarships to help fund higher education for 4-H youth who are high school seniors or older.

Listed below are the steps to completing the application process for these scholarships.  Any items missing after March 1, will render this application incomplete and not eligible for evaluation.

  • Complete that application found Application Link
  • Submit the following file(s) via email to Kansas4H@ksu.edu by March 1, 2023. For any files you submit, please make sure to title them with your name in the title. Example –John Smith 4H Resume.pdf.
    • High School Transcript or most recent college semesters grades
    • Two-page Resume of Accomplishments 
      • Page one, single-spaced summary of4-H significant leadership, community service, participation, and recognition, up to and including the current 4-H year. Bullet lists or tables may be used. Start with the most recent accomplishments. Label the 4-H activities: L=local; C/D= County/District; A/R= Area/Regional; S=State; N=National; I= International.  
      • Page twosingle-spaced summary of non-4-H leadership, community service, participation and recognition in school and community, up to and including the current 4-H year. Start with the most recent accomplishments.
    • One-page summary of what your educational and long-term career goals are.
    • URL to a short (4 minutes MAX) video of you answering How has 4-H impacted you?
  • Two Recommendation Letters must be emailed to Kansas4H@ksu.edu and the Recommendation Letter link must be completed.
    • One letter from a non-related High School or College Instructor or Counselor.
    • One letter from a non-related extension agent, assistant, or specialist CURRENTLY employed by Kansas State Research and Extension

Kansas 4-H Dog Scholarship 

The Keith Neuway and Jim Adams 4-H Dog Scholarship awards one recipient a one-time payment of $500 to help und higher education for 4-H youth who are high school seniors or older.

Applicants must be a high school senior or freshman in college and have been enrolled in the Kansas 4-H Dog Care and Training project for a minimum of three years.

Complete the Kansas 4-H Scholarship Application listed above and then submit the following file(s) via email to Kansas4H@ksu.edu .  For any files you submit, please make sure to title them with your name in the title. Example – John Smith Dog Scholarship Information.pdf.

  • Maximum two-page summary of your involvement in the 4-H Dog Care and Training Project.  Make sure to include how you shared your leadership and citizenship skills in the project.
  • Optional, up to 6 dog project related photos with captions, if you choose. 
Kansas 4-H Geology Project Scholarship Application 

The 4-H Geology Scholarship awards a one-time payment of $250 to a 4-H youth who is a  graduating high school senior.

Applicants must have been enrolled in the Kansas 4-H Geology project for a minimum of three years.

Complete the Kansas 4-H Scholarship Application listed above and then submit the following file(s) via email to Kansas4H@ksu.edu .  For any files you submit, please make sure to title them with your name in the title. Example –John Smith Geology Scholarship Information.pdf.

  • One page summary of your involvement in the 4-H Geology Project
  • One page story of your favorite memory of the 4-H Geology Project
Vanier Family Scholarship 

The Kansas 4-H Foundation partners with Kansas 4-H to offer the Vanier Family Scholarships to help fund higher education for 4-H youth in financial need who have been truly outstanding, both academically and as leaders, during their high school career.


New Applicants
The applicant must be a graduating high school senior.

Listed below are the steps to completing the Vanier Family Scholarship application. Any items missing after March 1, will render this application incomplete and not eligible for evaluation.

  • Complete that application found Application Link
  • Submit the following file(s) via email to Kansas4H@ksu.edu by March 1, 2023. For any files you submit, please make sure to title them with your name in the title. Example –John Smith 4H Resume.pdf.
    • One page Resume describing your Educational and 4-H Accomplishments
    • Your most current Academic Transcript
  • Two References must complete the Vanier Reference Link
    • These should NOT be related to the applicant.


Renewal Applicants
Vanier Scholarship recipients MUST complete a renewal application for the next school year to be considered for renewal.

Listed below are the steps to completing the Vanier Family Scholarship application. Any items missing after March 1, will render this application incomplete and not eligible for evaluation.

  • Complete that application found Application Link
  • Submit the following file(s) via email to Kansas4H@ksu.edu by March 1, 2023. For any files you submit, please make sure to title them with your name in the title. Example –John Smith 4H Transcript.pdf.
    • Your most current Academic Transcript verifying your cumulative GPA is a 2.5 or higher. Must also include your colleges Name as verifying it is official.
