Prairie Pollinator

Formerly known as the Prairie Star Prairie Bloom garden, this garden was established in 2004.  It is located on the east side of the entrance to the Shawnee County Extension Office at 1740 SW Western Avenue.  Formerly a trial garden, when the Prairie Star Prairie Bloom program ended in 2017 our volunteers had to re-imagine what they wanted this garden to be. In 2019, the garden was re-named the Prairie Pollinator garden and volunteers have been redesigning the garden with plants suitable for bees, moths, butterflies, flies, birds and other pollinators.
