Who Can Become a Shawnee County Extension Master Gardener?

Anyone with an interest in horticulture can apply for the Extension Master Gardener Program.

You need to be available for about 40 to 50 hours of daytime training classes your first year.

You will need to be available for 40 hours or more of volunteer time your first year and 25 hours or more each subsequent year.

You must have at least a High School Diploma or the equivalent.

You will be expected to share your love of gardening with others through various Extension Master Gardener projects.
