Who Can Become a Shawnee County Extension Master Gardener?

• Anyone with an interest in horticulture can apply for the Extension Master Gardener Program.

• You need to be available for about 40 to 50 hours of daytime training classes your first year.

• You will need to be available for 40 hours or more of volunteer time your first year and 25 hours or more each subsequent year.

• You must have at least a High School Diploma or the equivalent.

• You will be expected to share your love of gardening with others through various Extension Master Gardener projects.
