How to Become a Shawnee County Extension Master Gardener

The Extension Master Gardener Volunteer program is open to any qualifying Shawnee County resident (or resident of any neighboring county) who is willing to volunteer in Shawnee County and has an interest in home horticulture and acquiring new skills. If you would like to find out more about becoming a Master Gardener and you have the time and desire to donate volunteer hours to Extension Gardening programs, please contact our office to be considered for the next class.

Applications are taken during July and early August of each year.

Classes run from September through the first week of November.
