worker antAnts in the Classroom

Live ants are available in the months of September and April. Orders must be placed the previous month, i.e. August for September and March for April. 

Grade: 1st- 4th         Cost: $10.75 

Prices for 2023-2024 academic year

Standard : NGSS 2-LS4; 3-LS2-1; 4-LS1-1

Program Includes an Anthill, live ants, food, magnifying glass, and flash-drive containing all teaching information and handouts.

Teacher Provides Daily observation and bottled water as tap water may contain additives harmful to ants.

The anthill will be left for the youth to observe. Youth will observe how ants have their own complex society and rely on teamwork to build their tunnels. They will also study ant anatomy.
