Extension Council
The Shawnee County Extension Council is composed of 24 members. Six members are elected to serve on one of four Program Development Committees (PDC):
* 4-H Youth Development
* Agriculture and Natural Resources
* Community Development
* Family and Consumer Sciences.
Members are elected to a two-year term. If re-nominated, a PDC member may serve a maximum of two, 2-year terms. All citizens of voting age are eligible to vote in the election. Click on the links below to get more information on how you could be nominated and the overall election process.

The members of each PDC work together with agents to develop and deliver local extension programming.
Following the elections, the new Extension Council elects nine members to serve on the Executive Board. This election takes place at the Annual Meeting.
